I would try to do the hard work for them - make the phone calls, make the appointment, figure out transportation (if you can't drive yet), decide who you want to see. Just make it as EASY as possible for them to just sign off on it. They care about you and want you better, but they don't understand well enough to make sure it's their top priority. Simply doing all this will show them a little bit clearer, but making it braindead simple for them will expedite getting the help you need. If nothing else, one (fully open) session's often enough to get a fairly good diagnosis, depending on how bad it is. You might also ask the therapist if it's a good idea to include your folks.

Good luck, and try to power on through. Catching it while you're young is a *good* thing.
