Also, if you go to the drug manufacturer's website you will find that most offer low-cost or free meds. For example, when I was prescribed Seroquel I was paying out of pocket for a psychiatrist. No way could I afford to pay for the Seroquel. I went to the site (I think it's Astra-Zeneca), filled out an easy form, had my pdoc's office sign it, and regularly received completely free Seroquel.
