I haven't stayed in bed all day since my youngest child was born 31 years ago, but I would like to. I would like to stay in bed all day with my kitties all snuggled around me and a few good books to read.
I have to get up to do the care my pets require, I have to eat and do at least basic chores. I am exhausted, though, from struggling with a lifetime of stress and mental health challenges. So if I can, when I can, I sleep and sleep. Usually, I'm in bed by 10, awaken at dawn to open the curtains for the cats to look out (one cat pats on me until I get up). I drink some coffee, read the news, check this and that, and go back to bed.
The best and hardest sleep I get is between 10 a.m. and noon. I have no idea of why that is.
