Need quick advice. I've been prescribed hydroxyzine- brand name is vistiril. The usual adult dose for anxiety is 50-100 mg, but they gave me 25, but said I could take it every 4 to 6 hours. Sexual side effects are NOT listed in the side effects, but the paper I have says not all side effects may be listed. Does anyone know if this is an issue? Also, I have not had any sleep and have to be up at 8- if I take it will I be out of it tomorrow? I know it can make you drowsy. The doctor said not to take it the first time in public, but I need to try it now, so that I will know how it will affect me by Sunday because I have to talk to people and debate Sunday and it makes me nervous. I want to take this med then, but not if it is going to make me out of it, so I want to test it out today and am afraid when I get up in a few hours, thanks to taking this med, I'll be out of it or something. I am going out with some people today and can't be acting wasted. Anyone have any ideas what to do?
