I know it's so, so hard to ignore what others things... but just take that mental adjustment in your way of thinking a little at a time (even down to a few seconds, then a few more then next time and so on) in just "not caring."
Ive learned the more I've practiced this... the more I've learned about myself and become more confident. It's all in the mindset that you go into changing your habits... including how you think.
