I would stay away from psychedelics. I remember experimenting with them back in the early 70's when I was going to college. I was taking psychology 1A and remember reading about the symptoms of psychosis just that week in the text book. One night I was really tripping on LSD and thinking at that time, this must be what it is like to be psychotic.
There is a thing called temporal lobe lability which varies between individuals. Most people with psychosis are on the high end.
