I agree with not trusting them Turtle_RIder. At the job prior to the job I have written about frequently here, I went through something similar. When I accepted the job, I was supposed to be working part-time. It was a new company and the owner could not afford to pay a full-time salary. In the end, my responsibilities kept creeping and creeping up until I was working full time or more. At the same time, I received none of the raises I had been promised. When I announced I was resigning, he had his minion (the sales manager) try to convince me to come back. I was told that I could reduce my responsibilities. However, after the lies about promised raises and other things, I did not trust them. Maybe for a short time, I would have less work, but I am very sure it would have crept back up again.
