I just got back from the psychiatrist that my psychologist highly recommended. After 1.5 hrs of questions she wants to have yet another discussion with my psychologist and another followup before diagnosing me, but she already talked to psychologist on the phone, so I wonder what's going on.

Before followup she wants me to have a physical exam, neurological exam, EKG and a whole slew of other stuff I don't understand:

"CBC idp(?), CMP, TSH, T3 Typmee(?), RPR, HRV, Fasting, lypid panel, HgA1C"

Is it common for a psychiatrist to require that many tests? I think it's great that she's so concerned but I'm concerned something's wrong.

Thanks for this!
