My mother was very insecure. Obviously I didn't hate her, but her behaviors were a bit difficult to deal with most of my life. It initially rubbed off on me but I got my validation & built up my own level of secure feelings outside of my family.
I don't think that "hate" is really the appropriate word. I think that we usually feel uncomfortable around insecurity & sometimes it is a challenge to respect especially if their behavior effects us in a negative way.....but that doesn't EQUATE to "hate"
