One helpful thing with the doctors is to keep a mood tracker such as an app on your phone as well as journal entries regularly or as regularly as possible. Considering of course they only see you for a small snapshot of time and not everyone remembers every little detail of how they felt or what they did it makes the job complicated since they essentially are looking for enough markers to make it clear one way or the other. Worst thing in my opinion anyone can do is make up their mind about what they must have and continually spout it to the doctor without minimal amounts of proof which of course is hard to suddenly have in the midst of a short appointment.
