Fidget toys, anti-anxiety medication, and taking a break in a quiet environment also help me once I'm having a meltdown. I also take Geodon and Lamictal XR and the combination has helped to reduce the frequency of my meltdowns. Those two drugs don't seem to help once I'm melting down but they have helped prevent them from happening.
My nephew has a cat. Sometimes she help him calm down. He been having problems with school. Because of his autism. He take different medicine. He has autism, adhd, ocd, mood disorders.
