I do believe there is a lot of fake news, like all the hoo ha about impeachment when the Senate would never pass it. This goes on and on like the media making a big noise about a bill that has been introduced, and then people get all excited about it being a done deal when the bill may have no chance of passing at all.
OK, on this. Since my friend has combat ptsd but is still working in Iraq, Afghanistan, wherever they send him, I think its important for people to feel hope. The suicide rate (especially for veterans with combat ptsd)is through the roof and people need to know that something is being done. Like replacing opioids, help for PTSD has been one of the areas that has been hard to crack. I didnt say that this was the Holy Grail, just that it is due to be approved by the FDA. OK, so anything involving government, insurance companies, Big Pharma can fail us. We're all adults.
Now seriously, since you feel so strongly about this, what do you think that we the public, or we forum people, a specialized segment CAN DO about speeding research and standards for all our issues. My brother is past board chair for the Cancer Society. They sure have kicked butt. So lets stop sitting on ours, thats what I want. We can go to Mars but we cant....you name it. Its ridiculous. By organizing on the local, state, national level, we could definitely make a noise. March on Washington, whatever.
