I read Pema Chodron's writings from time to time. I'm not a Buddhist but I enjoy her writing and her philosphy.
I began to practice meditation but didn't stay with it. I do some lighter stuff like short guided imageries and autogenics, usually before bed for relaxation.
I also have the Dalai Lama's "How to Practice" that I have read parts of and enjoy.
The current situation in Tibet is viscious and sad.
