Yesterday, while I was at the veterinarian's to put my very sick cat to sleep, my Fiancee of 5 years sent me a text breaking up with me. He was supposed to go with me to take my cat in but when he ignored my texts I went in without him. The night before he said he had to work late and would pick me up the next morning so we could leave for our vacation. I got a good morning text from him and then some odd incomplete texts that made no sense. Then he sent a text that said " I think we're done" with no explanation and he would not answer when I called. I wasn't even sure if he meant our relationship. I drove to his apartment hoping to talk to him but he was gone. I have a key to his apartment and let myself in. I found a receipt that said he spent $200 on dinner with someone last night and his bag was gone so I'm assuming he went on our vacation, maybe with someone else. I am so heartbroken, I've spent 5 years with this man and this is how he ends it. This is sadly not the first time he has cheated on me and broke up with me. A year ago he just disappeared and I lost my mind thinking he was hurt or dead. We eventually got back together but we were never the same again. I don't know how to deal with this. He's been my best friend for so long and a huge part of my life. I know what he did is the lowest of lows but all I want is to go to him for comfort.
