Boxing Day is a holiday here in the UK and I guess in the Comminwealth countries?? Its actually St. Stephen's Day so it's a cast's day just like St. Patrick's Day in Ireland if you like. I'm not sure why we celebrate it tbh. But it's a national holiday ie school's are off, some shops are closed, some people are on holiday from their jobs. But the economy has got greedy in latter years and more and more retail shops are now opened. Pure greed if you ask me. The shops all have Boxing Day sales and people go nuts over this. You won't catch me nesr shops until the New Year lol. I worked in retail and use to work it you use to get double wages which was great for me.it kinda resembles America's Black Friday sale as it's mostly just one day you can physically go into shops as they are closed Christmas Day.
