I work for a big corporation, I will not say which one. I want know why big corporations treat workers like utter garbage.....this is my situation......I took an entry level job in the billing department, I have been there 8 years, and have not been allowed to "move up" despite the company's "initiative to promote from within"
I have completed countless trainings to move depts or take a lead position but nothing. I do not have a degree, but I have more experience than anyone on my floor. Again I have been there 8 years and I have only received raises that amount to about $1.75 total since my entry rate. I have applied for 20+ positions since being there and it's always a no, but no reason why. I am completely fed up in my current position. Looking outside of this company, I could go back to warehousing and make 5 or 6 dollars more than I do now.......why is this big company not allowing me to move up when everyone else around is allowed to? I feel used and abused by my job. Do all corporate jobs act this way?
