The help I have been offered irl (aside from meds I'm allergic to now) has basically consisted of someone trying to argue me out of my feelings. (with varying degrees of harshness... sometimes extremely harsh and callous.)... That might help some but it certainly hasn't been helpful to me.

The first time, and for a long time, the harsh inner critic I've always had was (not surprisingly ) enhanced by this ''treatment''... if increased self flagellation is a goal of therapy, I'm very puzzled.

It's a bit more complicated than that (ok a lot more complicated than that)

I find it very concerning how harshly so many are ''discharged'' .. intelligent people with ''good potential'' (whatever that is)

I find it very concerning if anyone is discharged with harshness and cruelty.

As I do not wish to be an advocate for people in real life (well I would like to be but realistically can't) I rant on the internet
