As for your specific question... I did some websearching, and it seems quite common for people to use/suggest Omega-3 to treat anxiety, but I haven't found anything that states that Omega-3 can make anxiety WORSE. But there is always the chance of adverse effects, where something does the exact opposite of what people intend/think it's going to do. So maybe that's what is happening in your case?
Hope someone else can provide you with a better answer.
