Sorry you're going through so much....sound damn tough. Have you heard of the fathers 4 justice group in UK? To be honest i know very little about them except that they climbed up the parliament building

but they seem to be fighting for the same things you are. I wonder if there is anything similar in the US...
The health system is a very interesting topic for me, i'm gonna be working in the NHS soon (i pray) and i'm a patient too so i think i can see both sides of the coin. I believe 100% in the NHS, although i think it is halted by the amount of managers that no nothing about the work that most professionals do! But then again, i don't mind private companies....if people wish to do that that's fine by me and by most of those that can't afford too (i guess). Having said that, i don't know much about the US health system but i watched that Sicko movie and although incrediably biased and majorly flawed it was an interesting subject base.
Anyway sorry, i guess i should stop rambling....but i wouldn't give up on getting a new better job closer to home. Are there places where you can go to get your CV checked? Or have practise interviews? Prehaps phoning up places you get rejected from to get an idea of what you can improve on? My dad was made redundant recently and he went to a place where they find jobs for you and they take a bit of commission for it - not from you but the company. In the end it was his CV online that got him headhunted.
Take care of yourself. I hope you and your wife and family feel well soon.
