Couldn't this be a thread in the "Relationships & Communications?" I think such a topic as you propose could potentially be a hotbed of disagreement and grievances on both sides. I'm not saying it should not be a thread, but worried a whole "group" may not be prudent.

I'm sorry for parents who feel neglected by their children, and vice versa. However, this new time/age has changed expectations in certain ways compared to the past. Social media, texting, etc, plus other factors. I, personally, see some changes as good and others not so good. Plus, even beyond this "new time" there ate other complicated factors behind relationship issues. Blatant abuse is at the extreme end.

Just my opinion. I know people see things differently for various reasons.
