Well .. I use to take Imitrex for migraines and it worked well.

As for nerve pain? I have Fibromyalgia and have taken gabapentin and Lyrica Neither really helped me much.

I was involved in a study for Fibromyalgia that was Lidocaine infusions by IV , took about an hour. It was weekly , around my 5th week I could see a noticeable decrease in pain.

You might want to ask your Doctor about it, maybe one is taking place near you.
