Oh Tegretol that's a sore subject, I also have GERD ,During the "purple pill wars" I was taken off one of the purple ones , a few days later I get out of bed and immediately fall down,everytime I stand up I hit the floor , called an ambulance ,at E.R they do bloodwork ,I am seriously toxic on tegretol Dr asks me why I ODed ! I thought he was crazy ,and he thought I was trying to off myself , it took my neurologist to get people straight , whichever PPI that was ,required me to take an extremely high dosage ,that one the PPI was gone ,I went toxic,so I am considered allergic to it ,which is very strange that I take Trilepral and they are very similar cousins .
