I just sent a rather lengthy message to my GP. I feel it was necessary though to give him a heads up about some things because my husband also joins me for my appointments. (I mean, i can ask him to leave or the doctor sometimes does, but I do actually prefer to have a second pair of ears with most things. Just saying)
But yeah, I had a tendency to typically write really long letters, but found that it's not really typically appropriate in professional correspondence. I've been working on this, but as I said above, there will obviously be exceptions to the rule.
