I agree with Christina. Sounds like it could be a conflict, maybe with your ports. Have you plugged a device into your computer lately like a new mouse or anything?

Modems are usually used by Com3 and if your getting booted that could be the reason.

Or, maybe it's timing it's self out. Or maybe the tool bar is causing it.

Just sort of thinking out loud, have no idea really but I'll keep thinking.
