I’m at work (chill, it’s downtime.) and I can’t stop
Worrying about my granny. She really scared me last night. She stayed in bed til 6pm and hasn’t taken her meds or drank anything. She’s 80. I went into the kitchen after she was up and she said she felt “faint.” I immediately had her sit down.
She was about to drink tea but I told her not drink water.’I was making her some iced water when she suddenly passed out. He face was droopy on one side and I was certain she was having a stroke! I kept her upright and she started vomiting but wasn’t responsive. I couldn’t reach a phone so I pressed her medical alert necklace. Once I did that she started moaning and gasping. I was terrified!
I eventually got my phone and called ems. The medical alert company had already called them too. Thank God! They got there and by that time she was fine! Sitting up and alert. They advised her to drink water, eat light and rest in bed for the night. They walked her to her bed. I got her all changed into a nightgown and cleaned her up.
Once I knew she was ok I ran out and got some ginger ale.and gave her that and some
Saltines. She wanted to sit up and drink so I helped her moved to her chair. By about 10:30 pm she was sleepy so I helped her to bed. Whew....I
Was so scared. Seemed like she was passed out forever. I thought something really bad was happening. Still not sure if dehydration causes this. Sounds more like a mini stroke.
I’m just so thankful
I was there when it happened!!!!!!
