X-rays were ordered. My knee is most painful, actually excruciating. I have only a twinge of pain now and then in my hip now. My rheumy was in a rare mood and would not listen to me. She'd written for several views of one hip. She wrote for one pelvic view. She wrote for a limited view of my knee. (Again, my knee pain is excruciating 24/7.)

Initial results: Severe deterioration of hip joint. Some deterioration of opposite hip, of both SI joints and other regions of pelvis. Severe deterioration in low lumbar area.
knee: Deterioration to some degree. Radiologist notes that only the one hip was focused upon enough for a thorough examination. He is unable to accurately assess the degree of deterioration in other joints without additional x-rays. Further evaluations needed. Surgical consults should follow.

I am disappointed in the findings, while also being disappointed in the fact that my knee, which screams with severe pain, 24/7 was not more fully evaluated.

My rheumy is away for a month. I will schedule with Ortho. That is currently a month's wait. I will need to see 2 different doctors; a hip doc and a knee doc..
I am hoping I can at least get medication injected into my knee while waiting.

Thank you, all, for you support and love!
Sending lots of love and support your way WC! I'm sorry to hear about the state of the joints, but it explains the extent of your pain. I hope they can help you while you wait for your surgical consults. I know this is a lot to handle. I believe in your tremendous ability to find continued strength.
