Hi, my granddaughter is now out of control and we do not know where to turn:
From being a sweet, compliant child, about a year ago she started self harming, trying to throttle herself etc. A long story short...she says she wants to live in the city and look after herself. However she is incapable.
- only self harms when she cannot get her way
- only runs away when she cannot get her way
- makes up stories about herself....looks up symptoms on the internet then plays them out
- sees a psychiatrist but never talks to them
- says she hasn't had a period in 3 months - her mother does the laundry and she certainly does. Her hygiene is not very good.
- says she doesn't want to live at home, there are too many rules
- after a lot of pleading from her parents, the school said they would allow her back - she went back on Monday. Tuesday she said she wanted to change schools. Her parents said they could not afford new uniforms....today she went into the toilet and cut herself....ambulance, lockdown...now she is at the emergency hospital.

My poor daughter is at her wits end...and it seems no-one can help her.
Any input?
