The other day I went to work. Maybe I was dressed more feminine than normal or something, but one of my coworkers made a comment about her wondering if I was straight. I was so upset and embarrassed!! I just couldn’t believe anyone would mistake me for being straight!
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think there is anything wrong with being straight or even two straight people living together. (As long as they don’t kiss in front of me, yuck.) I even have friends that are straight.
It just really upset me I guess that anyone would see me as that.
My point??
1. There isn’t anything wrong with being straight or gay.
2. Love is love no matter the gender.
3. Sometimes even well meaning comments can sting when the "terrible" thing they are talking about is a part of who you are.
