dissociation as a coping method is very common. The extent to which you utilize it is what can be considered problematic.....if it is interferring with your daily life.

I do not think there is anyone on these forums qualified in gauging where your experience fits on the dissociative spectrum. And whether or not your experience is similar to DID.
I do know how strange and scary diss. can be. Good luck and there are plenty of resources that explain this much better than this site.
