You might be asking the wrong set of people. I can't remember what it was like not to feel like this, myself, but these are all excellent questions. I'd caution you not to think too hard about it, because just because you know how they get through the day, or sleep at night, doesn't mean it's attainable for you instantaneously, and that might be frustrating.

Keep in mind too, that we don't know what people are like when they're at home. I couldn't recognize YOU on the street, nor you me. People you think are not depressed might be and vice-versa.

Myself, I think the problem is just overthinking. Analyzing EVERYTHING, to the point where it all seems like work, and therefore bad. If I could just give up worrying, and overthinking everything, I'd jump a billion points up the ladder.
