People who have a severe condition suffer much from it, it's clear, but can be easily detected, diagnozed, and helped.
If you've a condition but with less severity or if you can in some way compensate some deficit or particularity (for example with intelligence), you're surely luckier than the first category of persons to some extant. But compensating for doesn't mean you're actually tackling the deficit or problem. In comparison with the first category, you're not detected, but the problem can still be here, of course.
