Do not be afraid because she suggested an antipsychotic to you. Many people with bp are on them and they arent always for psychotic episodes. In fact I would bet that most people with bipolar are on them for mood stabilization than psychosis. Some AAP's cause weight gain, some less so. I take Geodon which has been weight neutral for me.
