Haven't had my diagnosis yet, but belive I may have adult ADD (age 47). In fact, a co-worker and a student (I work at a college) assumed I had ADD!! Anyway, here are some things not found on the usual quizzes that they swear are signs of ADD in adults:
Many medicine work contrary-, for example, Benadryl keeps you awake.
Caffeine has a calming effect rather than an 'exciting' effect and copious amounts are consumed all day.
Nicotine works (smoked for 35 years, quit this January and depression and ADD exploded).
Low body temperature, low blood pressure.
I am particularly intrigued by the Benadryl and caffeine. (BTW, Claritin does not wake me up...) Would love to hear others' thoughts.
