I about got up and ran from the office when I first received the diagnosis. Even though I obviously sort of knew it was coming, the label was very hard to take. But, it may actually be the beginning of something good for you. It will get you talking with your parents, realize you need help (no, you're not crazy, you're depressed) and get you started on finding the right treatment. Unfortunately, it will most likely require patience. It's important to find the right therapist and a psychiatrist who is current on all the new meds. And, if you're not comfortable with one of them, you need to find someone better for YOU. Your parents may be valuable resources in this respect. Please take care. You're not alone.....
