Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I certainly know something about being scared by the idea of coming out. That's part of the reason I've stayed almost entirely closeted my whole life. Nowadays, though, it does seem as though it's not unusual to hear people who have come out say it went surprisingly well & the family members & friends they told were supportive. Hope that turns out to be your experience as well.
