This is a known issue but there's nothing we can do to fix it at this time. It's because both the enhanced ignore functionality we've implemented here is a plugin and so is the thanks options, and they don't interact with one another.

While it's possible this could change in the future, our engineering resources are limited. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
