Thank you for your thoughts and advice. I'm talking about different circumstances though, and not "thanks" or "hugs" that are given to me.

While the person may not know right away that they're on ignore, they do know after they've tried to post to that person's thread.

And in the case they know they are on ignore and thank others on the thread?

I just want posters who are on ignore to not have the ability to thank others, not me specifically, for their posts on threads when there's a purpose to the ignore button and when they're not allowed to post on a thread because of that ignore function.
