I just want posters who are on ignore to not have the ability to thank others, not me specifically, for their posts on threads when there's a purpose to the ignore button and when they're not allowed to post on a thread because of that ignore function.

Yes …………………...If...…………. they try to post they will see they are on your ignore list.
but not everyone clicks to make a post before they click thanks and hugs.
example when I am reading posts I see one that I can relate to or think is a great post I do not think
"ok before I click thanks or hugs I better try and make a post to see if this person has me on ignore"
when I am reading posts and threads I see one I can relate to or one that I like I just click thanks and hugs.
my point is most people do not try and make a post before they click thanks and hugs. usually its the other way around.
people click thanks and hugs
then make a post after.
maybe you can also do something else that I do. when I know Im feeling sensitive and will not like something I am seeing or reading here I don't pick that time to come on psych central.
I make sure that when I come to psych central Im in a place where I feel ok with what I may see including at the bootom of my posts that someone I have on ignore has thanked or hugged me.
bottom line like doc john says the two programs don't work together
I take that to mean I need to make sure I am in an ok place before reading posts if thanks and hugs are bothering me that day.
