to me it has always been the b-day of someone I love (not in the dippy romantic way! sheesh!!

) so I rarely think of it as the big commercial day that has been invented.
make it out to be whatever you want..........create your own tradition anew!
I'll be alone on Monday and so what?! I'll call this person and wish them happy b-day. Then I'll go to my appointments as usual. If I'm lucky enough to still have any memory by the evening I'll try to watch an hour of a movie but that's iffy since my memory seems to be fading...fading...fadin.....fa....
Do you even like chocolate? Aside to chocoholics out there---I
know I'm asking a sacrilegious question but some people just don't 'get' chocolate....I know I know :: shakes head :: They're still good people even if they don't worship the cocoa bean.
Don't believe the hype and start asking yourself what about yourself do you like? What qualities do you possess that you are proud of? We all have something that we can do or are good at that we take pride in at some level within. Why not celebrate your good qualities on Monday and be glad that you're not wasting them on someone who wouldn't know love if it bit them in the heiney.
Monday is only a day in the year. It is what you make of it. For me it is a b-day of a close person to me. I do not have any trappings of commercial V-day around here. Life goes on. Just another day.
Take care starbright.
