I tracked my exercise for a contest at work in the early 2000's, and lost 20 lbs in 10 weeks by exercising about 10 hrs a week, taking some rest days, but usually doing one or two activities a day - swimming, walking, lifting weights, or stationary cycling. 10 hrs a week always has been my cut off - less time than that, and i dont lose fast enough to notice or keep it up.
