how much is the car payment? is it more then the coffee and milk? can you afford to pay it yourself?

pay for the coffee and milk. it's part of the joys of sharing housing. especially with someone who is sounding like they are helping you with a big chunk of your expenses.

since you know the supply as you buy it now will get used up, buy a little more. priorities. car loan & $50 are probably worth more to you the whining over coffee and milk.
