Most children with Scoliosis do not see a progression. An orthopedist will continue to mointor her. In some patients if a progression is seen it may be neccesary for your daughter to wear a brace. The brace does not restrict physical abilitiy or activity. If the brace does not work, surgery may then be considered. Of every 1,000 children, 3 to 5 develop spinal curves that are considered large enough to need treatment.
