Welcome to the forums. I am normally active in the chats here but I have been having a particularly difficult time lately and can not manage chat right now. I agree with you that sometimes social interaction can be really difficult and it's nice to have the forums and chat for that. Also, it is true that the schizophrenia forum seems to be a little bit more active than this one so sometimes that is a good place to go. My first mental health hospitalization was about 11 years go and I am still struggling today -- I have recently applied for disability and that has been really difficult for me.
