Yes, I think I understand where you're coming from WovenGalaxy. I don't like people making jokes at my expense either, being critical for no reason whatsoever - especially when you make the effort to be as accepting of them as possible.
And that could be the key here WovenGalaxy: acceptance.
Guys - probably globally - due simply to not being perfect, tease their friends sometimes, make fun of, make a joke about things. Are they being malicious? Or did they simply see something they thought was funny, and so pointed it out? Maybe he got lost in the moment or something and reverted back to the old immature ways - the animalistic ways [so to speak].
From what I can tell, it doesn't sound as if your friend makes fun of you all the time, so perhaps just accept him for who he is. We make mistakes sometimes, put our foot in our mouths, but if we regret doing so, we apologize, and vow not to repeat that behaviour - which I believe he has done.
Just keep his friendship and work on letting it go now WovenGalaxy. Let go, let go, let go. Focus on the love. Don't poison oneself by giving rise to anger and hurt feelings all the time - which is what I tell myself because I can relate to what you're saying.
