It's really difficult to discuss spirituality with out discussing religion, because they are different sides of the same coin. It's almost impossible to have one with out the other.
Even the article here says that Spirituality is the subjective part of religion.
Right now, my understand of the rules is that I can say that I'm Christian, but I can't use any Christian references or discuss my faith publicly at all. However, for many people, spirituality is experienced almost entirely through religion, and so to discuss it with out referencing religion can be crippling to the discussion.
The article posted lacks a clear answer to what spirituality is. All it can say is that some people define it one way, and others define it another way. That's not very helpful to those of us who can't seem to understand what is and isn't allowable here, but I do appreciate the thought. Thank you Echoes.
That is the question, though. What is Spirituality, anyways?
Personally, I think it is one's connection with God, and for me that comes directly through my faith. I can't imagine discussing one with out the other.
Is it really so hard for people to talk about religion? I mean, I may say in a post that I believe something, and I believe it because of these verses in Scripture. That doesn't mean that I expect other people to believe it- I'm just trying to provide some explanation.
EDIT: Just want to clarify- By "God" I mean the higher power(s) of your choice. Or whatever else you might want to substitute there.
