I have mild levoscoliosis. Basically meaning that the curve is on the left side of my spine. And its in the L1-5. I also have lumbrosacral pseudoarthrosis in the same area. Pseudoarthrosis is a false joint associated with abnormal movement at the site. Congenital pseudoarthrosis referes to a spontaneous fracture which progresses to a non union. This is in one of my vertebrae .. cant remember which one though. My right leg is longer(1/4 inch) than my left and my right foot is also a half size bigger. So I have to wear a wedge in my shoes to help with the uneveness. But the pseudoarthrosis is still painful. I need support when I am walking like with a shopping cart. I feel that since I had this xray done , Its gotten worse. Sitting for me is most comfortable. But I can get up and move around for a minimal amount of time. Pain meds help some...but not all the time. Drier, less humid and slightly warmer( for me around 70-75 F helps most) climate helps the most. My doctor said that the Pseudoarthrosis can (co exist/ occur) with the scoliosis. Its not the end of the world.. but it can limit you a bit too. Just depending on how bad it is.

Not sure if this info helps you Julia.. but getting her the help she needs now.. could help her more in the long run. I just found this out a couple years ago.. and I've had it since I was born.
