I think I would have felt more comfortable doing e-mail therapy. For the 1st 6 months or so, face-to-face was too intense for me. However in hindsight, dealing with face-to-face communication was exactly what I needed, even if I didn't like it. I think the recommendations for contacting the various organizations to find a GOOD therapist are good ones. It is a shame that you live in an area where there are no therapist in close proximity.
