I've been on 8 mg of Risperdal for a decade. It has never made me sleepy. It is, however, very effective as an antipsychotic for me. We tried a number of the first generation antipsychotics but they didn't help at all. Risperdal was the first drug that really worked for my psychotic symptoms. I hope you have great success with it.
