Hi Roseygirl03,

I just wanted to say, yes, I feel like that in almost every respect. I may have slightly different mental health issues to yours though, but still - all I've ever wanted was to feel stable within myself.

I see you mentioned BPD in the title. Well, a doctor once gave me a tentative diagnosis of BPD because, like you, someone might say something to me or I might get triggered by something, and that's okay - BUT, my emotional response is very intense and complex and despite my best efforts, it takes a long time to come back to a stable baseline of emotion - a key symptom of BPD. I do not like it.

I don't think we're screwed up any more than the average person out there Rosygirl03, because we can see what the problem is and are quite rational [in your case anyway, ha]. But at your age of 16, you stand a very, very good chance at getting through and overcoming these things.

That feeling of being secure within yourself - and being okay with NOT feeling secure within yourself at times - will happen. Just keep on the good path of self development.

Good on you Rosygirl03, and thanks for sharing.

Welcome to PC.
