Hi Sarah. My daughter was on antidepressants and I had/have mixed feelings about them. I feel like they can be helpful but not so sure about long-term use. I actually just talked to my therapist about meds. He told me some years ago that they might be a good idea for me but I have been resistant. The other complicating factor is that I feel like I have ADD and find it extremely difficult to read or focus my attention. That is making school extremely hard right now and adding to depression. I know a doctor won't treat both at the same time so I think I need to work on the ADD to get through school. That will at least help some with the depression, I hope.
